Shares of Bed, Bath & Beyond, GameStop, and AMC all surged on Monday. The stocks were mentioned on Reddit's Wallstreetbets message board. The names are the three most popular tickers on the subreddit as of Monday morning, according to Ape Wisdom.

GameStop and Bed, Bath & Beyond have ties to Ryan Cohen, the co-founder of Chewy. Cohen is the chairman of the board at GameStop and his firm RC Ventures holds a nearly 10% stake in Bed, bath andamp; beyond. Shares of AMC were both halted for volatility in the opening minutes of trading.

AMC CEO Adam Aron appeared on Yahoo Finance Live in the 10am hour on Monday. In June, Bed, Bath & Beyond CEO Mark Tritton stepped down from his role as chairman and CEO. Another entry into this latest iteration of the meme market is inexplicable trading in several new Chinese IPOs.

MEGL shares were up more than 1,000% on Monday. The company was once valued at over $400 million. MEGL is one of the most shorted stocks in the U.S., according to a recent index. The index is up 17% in the last three days.

The FTSE 100 is down 0.01% to 7,856.05. The CAC 40 is up 0.02% to 5,854.02. The S&P 500 is up 1.07% to 4,858.05; the Nasdaq is down 1.02%.
