Norwegian Cruise Line's shares sank nearly 12% on Tuesday. Micron Technology's shares lost 5% after the company reported a decline in demand for its DRAM and NAND chips. The company expects a challenging market environment in in the fiscal fourth quarter of 2022 and fiscal first quarter 2023.

Applied Materials, On Semiconductor and Teradyne each fell about 7%. Signet Jewelers saw shares fall about 11.5% after it cut its financial forecast. Nielsen soared more than 21% after the company postponed its court meeting and special meeting of its shareholders.

Ralph Lauren drops 7% even after the company reports strong-than-expected quarterly results. Principal Financial Group sees shares rise 7% after it reported strong quarterly Results. WindAcre currently owns about 27% of Nielsen shares. The company posted fiscal first-quarter adjusted earnings of $1.88 a share.

Novavax shares plunged 29% after the biotech company slashed its full-year revenue guidance nearly in half. News Corporation shares gained 5% after its quarterly earnings of 37 cents per share beat estimates. Allbirds stock price tumbled more than 23% after company cut its financial forecast for the year.

Berkshire Hathaway upped its stake in Occidental Petroleum to over 20%. Warren Buffett has been increasing the stake in the energy producer since March. It also announced a number of efforts to cut costs after reporting a wider quarterly loss compared with a year earlier. The stock gained 3.8% on news.
