Kohl's stock rallied 2.8% in the premarket following news that activist investor Engine Capital is urging Kohl's to consider either a sale of the company or a separation of its e-commerce business. GCP Applied Technologies agreed to be acquired by French construction company Saint-Gobain for $32 per share in cash.

The S&P 500 is down 0.7% in pre-market trading. The index is up 0.8% since the start of the year. The market is down 1.3% this week. It's down 1% in the last three days after a strong start to the week.

Spirit Airlines (SAVE) rose 1.9% in the premarket after Evercore upgraded the airline's stock to "outperform" from "in-line" Wells Fargo (WFC) was named a "top pick" at Morgan Stanley. Boston Beer (SAM) added 1.2% in premarket action, following a Cowen upgrade to "market perform" from 'underperform'

The "Battlefield" game is set to be released in September. The game will be the first of a series of games that will be released over the next few years. It is the latest in a long line of titles that have been released in recent years. The games are designed to compete with the likes of "The Sims" and "Candy Crush"
